Now here is my story. I was raised in Fairfax County, VA by Haitian-American parents who led by example. My mom, an accountant from Hunter College, and my dad, an electrical engineer in systems integration from CUNY. Growing up in a Haitian household meant structure, pride, and the smell of epis and fried plantains always in the air. It taught me early that culture is strength, and discipline starts at home. We later moved to Carol City, Miami, where I learned how to lead through adversity and move with purpose. That mindset took me from Columbia University to a pro basketball career across the U.S., Europe, and Asia. Now I speak, write, and create content that challenges people to perform at a high level—mentally, physically, and spiritually. After the NBA, Jeff’s journey expanded across international competition, where navigating physical, mental, and personal challenges led him to discover mindfulness, writing, and self-reflection as tools for clarity, resilience, and sustainable performance. Those experiences became the foundation for his work as an author and founder, planting the seeds for A Mindful Journey, The Cure, and the vision behind 40A3 Studios. In the process, success transformed from something he chased into something he learned to build from within.

This chapter is about building with intention — writing, creating, and leading with purpose as an author, entrepreneur, and lifelong student of growth. This is where performance meets presence, and where the work of the mind, body, and spirit comes together.
